Went with the Little Man to the local gallery in the city centre to see Lauren Child's - 'Greendrops and Moonsquirters' exhibition. She, to me, is most famous for her 'Charlie and Lola' books and TV series although she has done other books for kids of all ages!
Think he really enjoyed and nearly didn't want to leave. Lots of kids activities, especially for the young ones. Plus, in my view, her drawings are delightful and mesmerizing!

The Red Arrows came to Hull as part of this weekend's Freedom Festival. Although I had hoped it was a sunny day as forecasted, it turned out quite breezy and it was not helped I was dressed in a v-neck top and shorts! Luckily I was not the only one dressed for the 'summer weather' in our group! Little Man wasn't keen on the planes but more amused by a dressed up police man!

Was thinking what Louisa said in her post about how anthems can reflect upon our lives. Some of mine include:- The Hoosiers - Worst Case Scenario, Lady Gaga - Brown Eyes and Blondfire - L-L-Love. It was hard to think of some tunes without going into my 'personal favourites' catergory as there is so many songs I like!
Got two new games for my birthday including EA Sports Active and Wii Sports Resort. Both which are pretty good. Even the Little Man really likes the sword play games on the sports game! His fave on the other game when we first got the Wii was Wii Sports was boxing! Typical boy really.
OH has decided to get some winter clothing for us from Next online over the weekend as you don't need to pay for your goods straight away so I got a coat and the Little man has got a hat and scarf. It made me realise Autumn will be upon us and then winter - ugh.
Thank God it's September anyway. Back to the art group, courses and play groups this week so I will be busy once again!

I have only just around to scanning some of Little Man's artwork which I have been saving for a while but these two are my favourite as they depict the objects they're suppose to be pretty clearly - well I thought so! Please note, I did not guide him in any way with these works and they were done in the same afternoon!

As some of you might know, it was the results day for A-levels a few days ago. I e-mailed my Little Brother on how he did:
Biology: B
Chemistry: D
Psychology: A
English Literature: A
General studies: A
Which also means he can get into Bath Uni, as he wished too! And am a pleased, happy older sister!

Just a quick idea I have always wanted to do, although I had only been recently inspired to put it down on paper!
It's taken me three attempts from scratch to get it right, but meh, I am quite happy with it!
